Great... but Elvis probably would have done this song more justice. Girls... yes you and Haley, check out Elvis' repitoire... for some reason he always put the right feeling into all his songs. This felt, to me, like two amazing vocalists, just trying to hit notes but not actually adding the story of the song in a meaningful way.

I can only think how happy a lyricist would be to be represented so precisely.

Not to sound like anything special, but I was working at the front desk at a hotel in W. Hollywood when another clerk told me Clapton and his band had checked in. I idolized him and wanted to meet him. A couple of nights later he came to the front desk for his mail and I froze. Nothing. Went in the back for help. Embarrassing, but the girl had a great conversation with him and scored 2 tickets! She took me..awesome concert. Was Morgan fantastic here or what?

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written BUT most people don't know what it means or are confused by the title... because "Hallelujah" is Hebrew for "Praise to Yah/God..." because of your grace, majesty, love, etc. thank you. But this is a sensual/secular "Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all" song, and that is what he means when he sings "Hallelujah." He invokes Old Testament imagery from David and Samson to illustrate being broken by a woman... not an evil woman, but he is so in love/obsessed with her, he is putty in her hand, and excepts his fate, because in the end the ordeal was worth it... so, "Thank you, God... Hallelujah!"
